Sonny
Zamolo
Born in Paris with Italian roots, Sonny Zamolo is a house producer and DJ whose story runs between Europe and Asia.
His music moves from disco-leaning grooves and warm, deep textures to more direct club records, held together by groove, emotion and a sense of progression.
In 2006, he began making electronic music alone in his bedroom. A year later, “Soar”, produced under his first alias Nonoms Light, won Pete Tong’s Bedroom Bedlam competition. Records, remixes and appearances in Paris clubs followed.
Ten years in China gave him another perspective on music and nightlife.
Shanghai’s club culture and fast-evolving electronic scene broadened his musical perspective. Beyond the booth, life in the city and the people he met shaped his tastes and his visual world. Shanghai remains a personal and creative anchor.
Alongside his own releases, he has helped build labels, from Monochrome Music to Elegant Bastards today. His own productions now take centre stage, bringing that experience back to the music.
